Our roots go back to 1941, soon after Pearl Harbor – fuel wasn’t easily found due to the war and rationing. The local Clarkfield and Montevideo Co-ops were given ration board permits to purchase a truck and trailer. This allowed flexibility to source product. In 1959 Western Co-op Transport Association was incorporated and granted regulatory authority to transport. Major expansion occurred in 2002 with the acquisition of Farmland transportation assets in North Dakota, South Dakota and Iowa.
